Print the design on tracing paper or on regular paper.  Cut around the surface which represents the hoop.
Place some tear away in the hoop.
Spray with some glue over the tear away.

Place the paper pattern on the fabric; draw some marks
which will represent the middle line of the design

Here I have chosen to illustrate the central axe by lightly ironing a pleat as a guideline where I will be moving the pattern.

Pin the first design into place.

The hoop is set precisely with the needle at the center of the design.

The first design is now embroidered.

Remove the paper pattern
and pin the fabric
(or baste it)

Place the fabric under the presser foot so that the center point of the design is precisely under the needle.  Glue the fabric and the tear away together while keeping the central line well aligned with the central marking of the hoop.
